The Open living room and dining room comprise a giant, full-scale destination framed in by a complete wall of Bay-view windows. The volume easily accommodates a grand piano, multiple seating zones by the gas fireplace, and TV media space. By evening, twinkling lights dance across the Bay all the way to the downtown San Francisco skyline. Other visual treats are Mt. Diablo and the rising spans of the San Mateo Bridge. Vintage oaks and other greenery frame this outdoor portrait in unimpeded glory.

Historic Notes

Tracing to the 1850's, the scenic lands around Mounds Road have always been the very heart of Peninsula prestige. It was here at the original El Cerrito homestead that William Davis Merry Howard established the first estate that would encompass the most desirable environs of San Mateo and Hillsborough. The Howard's El Cerrito estate mansion was just below the Mounds around today's Baywood Avenue and De Sabla, just west of El Camino. Centuries later, many things have remained the same. Bordering Hillsborough and within minutes of two dynamic downtowns, Mounds Road still resonates as a premier ultra-luxe enclave.
