The latest closed sale comes at 479 Chatham Road (pictured), which was listed on February 18 for $1,698,000, prompting collecting multiple offers 7 days later, and closing for a whopping $2,165,000. Yes, $467,000 over its asking, and $965,000 more than when it last sold for $1,200,000 in 2009! There is no surprise on the demand: Chatham is one of the most picture-perfect tree-lined streets in all of Burlingame, and within walking distance of Caltrain, Washington Park, and downtown. The 4 bed, 3+ bath home offers 2,400 sq. ft. on a 5,400 sq. ft. lot.

The real surprise is the fact that we are approaching mid April and as of this writing there are only SEVEN Burlingame homes available for sale. Two of these seven listings have more than 30 days on market (an absolute eternity in 2015 DOM). So we are looking at roughly 5 houses to go around.
