The Burlingame real estate market is historically more scarce on inventory during the dog days of summer. Right now, there are just 9 single family Burlingame homes available for sale. Of those nine listings, four have Days on Market of 30+ days, meaning there only 5 fresh newer listings. Of these five Burlingame homes for sale, the next two hot sales will surely be at 1520 Howard (list $1,850,000) and 478 Marin Drive (list $1,785,000). Marin should experience particularly intense bidding as it enjoys one of the best blocks of Burlingables, a "Mayberry-esque" tree-lined enclave walking distance to Washington Park, Caltrain, and downtown.
Historically, the weeks after Labor Day and up until Thanksgiving constitute a busy new listing season. We'll look forward to that. In the meantime, I am aware of other off-market opportunities, particularly in the Lyon Hoag area of Burlingame, adjacent to Burlingables and also pleasantly walk-centric.
