As September rolls around, our real estate market historically promises more available listings for buyers, and a more active and competitive market for sellers. August typically is not a peak month for showcasing new listings, and in fact, many sellers (and their agents) could be on family vacations before school starts again, thus contributing to a less active market than the busy days of spring typically February to May. After Labor Day until Thanksgiving usually is a robust market of new listings hitting the market (while the weather is still good!) and buyers eagerly anticipating a new wave of inventory that never quite opened up during the summer.***I am preparing a delightful new listing in San Mateo’s Homestead neighborhood (Baywood Schools) that will hit the market at under $1,000,000 after Labor Day. As I always say, Homestead (just south of the Aragon neighborhood) is San Mateo’s best-kept secret with a charming Westside location within strolling distance of the city’s best schools… all wrapped in a tree-lined setting of warm community character…and still with an entry level at under $1,000,000!
