Easton Addition Home Sells $523,436 Over Asking

The Easton Addition has long been a champion of Burlingame's top shelf, not necessarily because it outshines other neighborhoods, but because it possesses the largest amount of newer and remodeled housing stock. Newer constructions purvey the most in-demand modern amenities such as the open floorplan, kitchen/family great room, grand-scale master suite, and home office. Such newer Easton Addition homes are built out to the maximum of their typical lots of 6,000 sq. ft. One such home, 1436 Cabrillo Avenue, has just closed for $523,436 over its asking price at $1,166 per sq. ft. This two-year old design featured 2,846 sq. ft. (plus garage) on its 6,000 sq. ft. lot. List price $2,795,000; Sale Price $3,318,436.

For the 56 single family Burlingame homes closed so far in 2015, the average price per sq. ft. is $972. This is the average price per sq. ft. for all price points, and all homes. Those premium listings with remodeled amenities can expect considerably more per sq. ft. as this new market proclaims itself even more emphatically into Spring/Summer.
