I've just posted a new PDF report under the "Market Updates" button above. Click on "Peninsula Luxury Reports" when you arrive at the pull-down menu. This interesting report tracks the high-end market above $5,000,000 between 1999 and 2002. An intriguing read! See how the high-end flourished during the dot-com glory days, particularly in Atherton (27 Atherton sales above $5,000,000 in year 2000, compared with only 8 sales over $5,000,000 in 2002!) You will also note how the suburbs closer to the heart of the Valley (Atherton and Woodside) showed the most high-end volatility during this time period, while Hillsborough remained less robust, yet consistent, being less impacted by the technology money influxes of the South Bay that we saw at the turn of the century.
